Refund Policy for Gateway Higher Institute of Science and Technology

Gateway Higher Institute of Science and Technology ("Gateway Institute," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to providing a fair and transparent refund process for students who may be eligible for refunds of tuition fees, deposits, or other payments. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued and the procedures for requesting and processing refunds.
1. Tuition Fee Refunds
Withdrawal Before Start of Classes:
- Students who withdraw from their program before the start of classes may be eligible for a full refund of tuition fees paid, excluding any non-refundable application fees or deposits and charges involved.
Withdrawal During An Active Period:
- Students who withdraw from their program during the designated add/drop period at the beginning of the semester are not eligible for a refund of tuition fees paid.
2. Other Fee Refunds
Application Fees:
- Application fees are generally non-refundable and will not be refunded under most circumstances, regardless of whether an application is accepted or denied.
Deposit Fees:
- Deposit fees may be refundable or non-refundable depending on the terms and conditions specified at the time of payment. Any refundable deposit fees will be subject to applicable deductions for outstanding balances or damages.
3. Refund Request Procedure
Students requesting a refund must submit a written request to the Office of Student Services or the relevant administrative office. The request should include the student's name, student ID number, program of study, reason for the refund request, and any supporting documentation.
4. Refund Processing Time
Refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe after receipt of the refund request and any required documentation. Processing times may vary depending on the method of payment and administrative procedures.
5. Appeals Process
Students who disagree with the outcome of their refund request may appeal the decision in writing to the appropriate administrative authority or appeals committee. The decision of the appeals committee will be final and binding.

7. Amendments to Refund Policy
Gateway Institute reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy frequently without prior notice. Any changes to the Refund Policy will be effective immediately upon posting on the university website or other official communication channels.
